Terms of sale

Last updated 5 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy furniture, decor or other goods from Flair Du Bois, whether through this website, by phone or at our showroom. Please read them before sending an order request.

About us

Flair Du Bois is a furniture, woodwork and interior design business at KG 632 St, Kimihurura, Kigali, Rwanda. Phone +250 790 003 319, email info@flairdubois.com.

Order requests

Checking out on this website sends us an order request. It is not a payment and does not yet form a contract. Nothing is paid online.

After we receive your request, a member of our team contacts you by phone to confirm the pieces, sizes and finishes, availability, the delivery price or collection, the delivery date and how you will pay. A contract between us is formed only when we have agreed these details with you and confirmed your order.

We may decline an order request, for example if a piece is no longer available or we cannot deliver to your address. If so, we will tell you and you owe us nothing.

Prices

Prices are shown in Rwandan francs (RWF). Delivery is not included in the price shown on the website and is confirmed with you before your order is confirmed. We do our best to keep prices accurate; if we find an error, we will tell you before confirming your order, and you can choose whether to go ahead.

Payment

You can pay by MTN MoMo, by bank transfer or on delivery, as agreed when we call you. For bespoke and made-to-order pieces we may ask for a deposit before we start making; the amount is confirmed in writing with your quote. Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full.

Handmade and natural materials

Our pieces are made by hand from natural wood. Variations in grain, knots, colour and small differences in size are part of their character and are not faults. Colours on screen may differ slightly from the real piece; you are welcome to see samples at our showroom.

Bespoke and made-to-order pieces

For pieces made to your specification, we confirm the design, dimensions, materials, price and expected timeline in writing before work begins. Timelines are estimates; we will keep you informed if anything changes. Once making has started, changes may affect the price and timeline, and an order may not be cancelled without covering the work and materials already committed.

Delivery and collection

Our team delivers and places pieces within Kigali. Delivery elsewhere in Rwanda is quoted by distance. Collection from our showroom is free. Please make sure the piece will fit through doors, stairways and lifts at your address; we are happy to check measurements with you. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection. See our delivery page for details.

Cancellations and returns

You can cancel an order request at any time before we confirm it. After that, our returns policy explains when goods can be returned, including what happens if a piece arrives damaged or faulty.

Our responsibility to you

If we fail to keep to these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Rwandan law, including consumer protection law, or our liability where it cannot legally be limited.

Personal data

We use the details you give us to handle your order, as explained in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, and any dispute is subject to the courts of Rwanda. If you have a concern, please contact us first. Most problems can be solved with a phone call.
